If you are planning a vacation to Germany, Hamburg is the place to go.  Known as the greenest place in Germany it has many attractions that you can take part in and has the highest number of parks in Germany.  If theatre and concerts are of interest to you then you will have over 40 to choose from so you can guarantee one trip will not be enough to visit them all!

If walking is the thing for you, you will be glad to hear that Hamburg has some of the most scenic routes that you can stroll down if you enjoy this sort of thing.  Not only is the area safe, it’s very good at making it exciting for children who generally don’t like walking in today’s world.  Be sure to take a look at the Hans Hummel Parade to see if it will be of interest to you.

An attraction that will suit everyone, especially the women is shopping!  Hamburg has some of the largest malls in Germany so you can be sure to find what you are looking for with ease and at a great price.  If you go around Christmas time you will benefit from being able to see the notorious open air markets to enable you to get something for everyone.

The Hamburger Kunsthalle attracts a lot of tourists each and every year because it is known as the most important art museum of Germany.  Some of the artefacts in here date back to the early 1400’s as well as catering for the newer contemporary pieces.

An attraction for the family is to spend the day at the Hagenbeck Tierpark.  For those that don’t know German this is Hamburg’s Zoo, not just any zoo but it is one of the largest in the world being home to around 2,500 animals so you can be sure to make a day of it seeing Mother Nature in all its beauty.
